"I loved this assignment! My classes had studied segregation and desegregation last semester and this was such a good way to tie back into it. The quotes were very thought provoking (I even used those with 3rd grade enrichment/gifted) but the page on looking at different ways to fight injustice was very thought provoking. Some of the answers from my students were very insightful. The last page was very good, as well. Great lesson!" -Maria M.

Emotional Regulation

Emotional Regulation Strategy Boards For Toddlers & Pre-Schoolers

A toddler's tantrums can strain the patience of even the most patient parent or caregiver. Most tantrums, however, happen because a child is facing a communication barrier and cannot express their emotions or needs. Help children as young as two years old to identify their emotions and choose a coping strategy to assist them in resolving emotional disregulation when it occurs with the use of these choice boards!

The boards in this resource contain picture cards with emotions and emotional regulation strategies for each of the five senses, and are a great tool because children’s feelings often overwhelm their ability to communicate verbally in the moment. The boards can be used in their entirety, or you can use the individual picture cards or blank board template to differentiate or modify and meet every child's needs!

Great for parents, in-home childcare, professional childcare facilities, preschool-aged children, ELL's, or older children facing communication and emotional regulation difficulties!
